Since arriving in Milwaukee in 2013, few Bucks players in recent history have sparked more heated debates on social media than James Khristian Middleton. For years, Pro-Middleton and Anti-Middleton camps engaged in massive arguments on Twitter and other platforms. Various members of Bucks Twitter shaped their online identity on defending Middleton from “Khris slander.” Middleton’s clutch moments in the 2021 playoffs appeared to end the debate. Bucks Twitter was finally in agreement that, “Khris Middleton is good.” Despite that, Middleton’s recent shooting slump has re-ignited the argument. Nowhere was this more apparent than on February 17th, when the Bucks lost…
The Milwaukee Bucks fell to the Atlanta Hawks on Monday night, 114-121. The Bucks led the entire game until late in the fourth quarter, when the Hawks went on a lopsided run to ultimately seal the victory. Here are three important takeaways from Milwaukee’s loss. #1: Third Quarters Remain Problematic for Milwaukee No matter how Milwaukee plays for the rest of the game, they always seem to lose third quarters. There is no clear reason for these woes, but it appears to stem from a lack of focus. Even if the Bucks dominate the first half, sloppy ball handling, poor…
Jason Anderson of the Sacramento Bee reported that representatives from the New Orleans Pelicans, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Milwaukee Bucks reserved seats for Sacramento’s match-up against the Cleveland Cavaliers last night. Although this may not amount to anything, it indicates Milwaukee’s interest in a potential trade with the Kings. Like much of the NBA, the Bucks are having difficulty maintaining a full roster. Between injuries and the health and safety protocols, players are constantly in and out of the line-up. A trade with the Kings could potential help the Bucks, but which players would they target? Buddy Hield Buddy Hield is…
The Indiana Pacers made waves in the offseason bringing back Rick Carlisle as their head coach. Despite this major hire, the Pacers are trending in the wrong direction with a disappointing 12-16 record. Although far from the worst team in the East, the Pacers find themselves locked in the prison of perpetual mediocrity. To that end, the Pacers organization recently decided to hit the reset button. Veterans such as Domantas Sabonis, Myles Turner, and Malcom Brogdon now find themselves on the trading block. Although the Bucks have little need for Sabonis or Brogdon, many fans expressed excitement at the prospect…
The Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder tonight 89 – 96. Here are three takeaways from tonight’s game. Khris Middleton Surpasses Ray Allen Khris Middleton usurped Ray Allen’s long held title as the all time team leader in 3 pointers made tonight. Although Middleton struggled for much of the game, it’s a significant milestone for the 9 year Bucks veteran. Ultimately, this distinction felt inevitable due to Middleton’s contributions to this team as a shooter. The Bucks Struggle to Put Opponents Away This game felt like a potential barn burner from the first possession. The Bucks jumped out to…
The Bucks lost to the New York Knicks tonight with a final score of 113-98. Milwaukee had plenty of issues throughout this game, but here are the three primary takeaways from tonight’s loss. The Bucks Really Miss Brook Lopez As Brook Lopez continues to sit out due to back pain, it’s clear how integral he is for the Bucks. Although Brook doesn’t grab too many rebounds in most games, his ability to box out and and create space on defense creates a significant advantage on the boards. Without him, rebounding becomes a problem. The Knicks secured 2nd, 3rd, and sometimes…
Milwaukee’s second round draft pick, Sandro Mamukelashvili, surprised many fans during the pre-season with his high level play on both sides of the court. Many (myself included) believed the young forward was ahead of schedule and could see regular minutes during the season. Despite receiving playing time due to injuries, many fans have expressed disappointed with Mamu’s performance thus far. Regardless, Bucks fans should still be optimistic about Mamu’s future, but they should measure their expectations. Short Term Outlook Fans expressed some surprise when Mamu only received a 2 Way Contract instead of a full roster spot. This isn’t overly…
The NBA’s 75th season kicked off with a bang as the defending champion Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Brooklyn Nets 104 – 127. Here are three takeaways from tonight’s game. Jordan Nwora is a Legitimate Threat Jordan Nwora proved he’s a legitimate threat off the bench in his first game significant game in the rotation. Nwora finished the game with 13 points, 6 rebounds, and 1 assist. Although the numbers don’t jump out at you, his play was nothing short of impressive. Although Nwora is known as a shooter, he showed his defensive prowess tonight. Nwora chased down rebounds, stripped the…
The Bucks unfortunately lost their second preseason game against the Brooklyn Nets. As all the Bucks’ starters and significant bench players rested, several young Bucks player stepped up significantly. Jordan Nwora, Sandro Mamukelashvili, and Elijah Bryant all impressed as they played significant minutes. Jordan Nwora Despite a rough Summer League, Jordan Nwora has shown significant growth in the NBA preseason. In this game, he scored 30 points with 8 rebounds and 2 assists. His scoring is impressive, but the biggest growth lies in his passing. Although 2 assists won’t impress most observers, Nwora showed more willingness to pass up shots…
