The long awaited Brewers home opener will have to wait a little longer.  According to multiple national and local sources, the St. Louis Cardinals have been advised to isolate in their hotel.  At least one member of the traveling party has tested positive for COVID 19. The Milwaukee Brewers return home from starting the season with a six-game road trip.  They will take on the division-rival St. Louis Cardinals in a three-game weekend series.  These games will, of course, be played without fans, but at least there is baseball in Milwaukee once again. In a breaking development, free agent defensive end Everson Griffen has narrowed his options down to three teams. One of them is the Packers. Griffen, who has played his entire career in Minnesota, is a four-time Pro Bowl selection with 74.5 career sacks. A fourth round pick in 2010, Griffen has proven to be a durable player, playing in 147 out of a possible 160 career games. Milwaukee Bucks fan-favorite Pat Connaughton has tested positive for the corona virus that brought the sports world to a screeching halt. He is not with the team in Orlando. Earlier reports state that the Bucks had shut down their practice facility in Milwaukee due to positive tests among the traveling party. Starting guard Eric Bledsoe also tested positive and is not in Orlando. Connaughton, known for his athleticism and high-flying dunks, is averaging 5.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game off the bench. In an unsurprising move, the Brewers have announced that Logan Morrison will be a member of their Opening Day Roster. Morrison was signed by the Brewers to a minor league contract in January of this year. He was also extended an invitation to Spring Training.
