In a breaking development, free agent defensive end Everson Griffen has narrowed his options down to three teams. One of them is the Packers.
Griffen, who has played his entire career in Minnesota, is a four-time Pro Bowl selection with 74.5 career sacks. A fourth round pick in 2010, Griffen has proven to be a durable player, playing in 147 out of a possible 160 career games. A move such as this would greatly increase the ferocity of the Packers’ already intimidating pass rush.
Griffen’s best season came in 2017 when he played in 15 games, recording 13.5 sacks. He also forced three fumbles that year and had 45 tackles. Last season, he had eight sacks and one interception to go along with 41 tackles.
