Giannis heat

After being blown out in New York the Bucks needed a big game and boy did they.  Playing against Miami for the first time since they lost to the in the playoffs, the Bucks came out swinging and never stopped.  Setting the NBA record for most three point shots made in a game along the way! Bucks Start Hot From tip-off Milwaukee was on fire.  They began with a 12-0 run and at one point it was 19-3.  The Bucks were firing on all cylinders both on offense and defense.  Forcing turnovers and scoring in transition gave Milwaukee their lead…

Milwaukee got their first win of the season against the Warriors on Friday.  A much needed victory after going 0-3 in the preseason and falling to the Celtics on Wednesday.  Despite Giannis only scoring 15 points, the Bucks crushed Golden State 138-99 with strong performances across the board.  Middleton scored an efficient 31 points in 3 quarters of play on 10-15 shooting, including 6-8 from three.  The Bucks will look to start a win streak against the Knicks. Knicks Looking to Find Their Identity At the time of writing this article the Knicks are 0-1.  Coming off of a…

2020 Bucks 300x300 1

Well it is officially that time.  The 2020-2021 Bucks’ season is here and we couldn’t be more excited (unless we actually acquired Bogdan but that’s a whole other story). Let’s have some fun and throw out some predictions for this upcoming journey.  We’ll dive into player, team, and a bold prediction as well. Player Predictions Most Improved: Considering all of the changes to the roster this year there’s only a few true candidates for this category.  The returning players are Donte, DJ Wilson, Giannis, Middleton, Brook Lopez, Thanasis, and Pat Connaughton.  To me the one player who clearly has the…

bucks mavericks

Another game, another second half collapse for the Bucks this preseason.  It appears it is going to take some time for this Bucks team to gain chemistry.  Another barrage of three pointers for the Mavericks and cold stretches for Milwaukee doomed them in the end. Sluggish First Quarter The Bucks didn’t start the game off great.  The biggest story coming out of the first game was Giannis’ new free throw form.  With that being said, things really couldn’t have gone worse from the stripe in game two.  Giannis went 0-6 from the line in the first quarter and finished…

In the heavily anticipated debut of Jrue Holiday on the Bucks, the team showed there is still much work to be done.   Shaking off the rust, both teams’ offenses were unable to score much in the first quarter.  The starting lineup of Giannis, Middleton, Jrue, Lopez and Donte showed us what they might be capable of on defense however.  Giannis and Brook Lopez both defended the rim very well.  Meanwhile Jrue and Donte filled in the passing lanes and defended the perimeter extremely well in the first half. Only a few minutes into the game, Giannis took an inadvertent elbow…

Harden and Giannis 1 300x200 1

Now that most NBA teams have made their final roster moves for the offseason, one star player might still be on the move.  James Harden is still trying to leave Houston and has expanded his list of potential teams.  Those teams now include the Nets, 76’ers, Bucks and Heat.  Knowing they are one of the few teams he is willing to play for, should the Bucks try pulling the trigger? The Price for Harden In all likelihood the Rockets will require a very steep price.  They’d be looking for a borderline star, young talent, and draft picks for any…

Milwaukee’s former number one overall pick, Andrew Bogut, officially called it a career today after 15 years in the NBA.  Bogut spent a full six seasons in a Bucks uniform before being traded to Golden State for Monta Ellis in 2012.  He went on to spend time on the Lakers, Mavericks, and Cavaliers (one game) as well.  He ended up winning a championship with the Warriors in 2015.  Here we pay homage to the Bucks’ most recent number one pick by recapping his Bucks career. Beginning of Bogut’s Career In 2005, Andrew Bogut played in all 82 regular season games…

giannis thinking

Giannis is always going to be a popular topic in the NBA media until he makes his next contract decision.  One particular topic ESPN touched on recently is what they think Milwaukee should do this year if Giannis doesn’t sign his contract extension.  Should they hold on to the hope he signs the next offseason? Or should they cut their potential losses and trade him to another team?  Let’s look at the pros and cons of each side. Scenario One: Trading Giannis Let’s be honest here, the Bucks will never get fair compensation for Giannis.  The only real reason to…

As we’ve discussed many times on this site previously.  The Bucks are expected to be making some big moves this offseason.  One of the trade targets we mentioned in a past article was Victor Oladipo.  Funny enough, not long after we the article was published it was reported Oladipo wanted out of Indiana.  Details on what Indiana is asking for and what Milwaukee is offering are not yet available so here are some thoughts. Oladipo is an All-Star It wasn’t long ago that Victor was named to his first All-Star team.  Oladipo broke out in 2018-2019, one year after being…

Ever since the awful Ray Allen trade the Milwaukee Bucks were stuck in a loop of mediocrity.  For over a decade they essentially floated on the brink of the playoff hunt.  Year after year they seemed to find a way to never finish above the eighth seed in the East.  Former owner Herb Kohl knew he could never pull in a super star through free agency.  He also knew he needed people in the stands.  So every season he would sign as many mediocre vets he could in order to keep the team afloat. Something miraculous was going to have…
