Wisconsin men’s basketball has developed a reputation for recruiting the state of Minnesota with incredible success. The 2023 Milwaukee Brewers are in first place in the NL Central. Thanks to a post-All-Star break sweep of the Cincinnati Reds, the Crew has a two-game lead for the division title. Wisconsin football added its 20th commitment in the 2024 recruiting class today. Dilin Jones, an impressive tailback out of Maryland, picked UW over 30 other suitors. A top-15 running back in the country, the consensus four-star prospect is the highest-rated recruit in the Badgers’ class.  Adding such a highly touted prospect was met with much excitement. The Wisconsin football recruiting department has added perhaps its most exciting talent yet. In an announcement today, Badgers running backs coach Devon Spalding locked up a commitment from Darrion Dupree. Compared to past Wisconsin running backs’ recruiting rankings, Dupree is the sixth-best RB pickup in the recruiting rankings era for the Badgers. Wisconsin football divisional rival Northwestern has immediately suspended head coach Pat Fitzgerald.
