I can’t say this is unheard of, but Two Rivers is doing something that not a lot of high school football programs could only dream of doing. Through two non-conference games and their first Eastern Wisconsin Conference outing, Two Rivers has not allowed a point. Their defense has been phenomenal, but the one-two combo of Justin Klinkner and Chase Matthias is what has made this team special. After a 54-0 blowout to start the season, Two Rivers began to turn some heads. It wasn’t Chase Matthias rushing for 300 yards, instead, Justin Klinkner put on a show. A week after,…

The Lincoln Ships started their season with a tough 44-21 loss to Appleton West. The Terrors are primed to have themselves a good season.  That being said, Manitowoc fans shouldn’t let the 0-1 start get to them. This isn’t the first time the Ships have started off their season 0-1, in fact, the last time they were 1-0 was back in 2015. The 44-21 loss wasn’t always as lopsided as it seems. The only bit of scoring in the first quarter was a safety that found Lincoln down by 2. A 2-0 deficit through the first quarter of the season…

Joe Garceau will be stepping down as the head boys’ basketball coach at Roncalli High School in Manitowoc. Coach Garceau would’ve been entering his eighth year with the Jets program, coming off a state championship win. The 2021-22 season saw Roncalli finish 26-3, capping it all off with a 10-point win over MSOE to claim the Division 4 state championship. Official announcement: Garceau was able to coach Roncalli greats such as Chombi Lambert and Luke Pautz in his tenure with the program. Other than this past season, Roncalli won the state championship back in the 2017-18 season. Garceau’s squad was…

Teams playing Two Rivers in the near future, were you planning on going all out to defend Chase Matthias? You might need to think again. As Jerry Bonino Field took the reins during halftime, Two Rivers already found themselves ahead of Random Lake 35-0. Things didn’t get any better for Random Lake in the second half as they allowed 19 more points, finishing on the losing end of a 54-0 beating. The Justin Klinkner Show Quarterback statistics are always at the top of WisSports, so it didn’t take long to see the chaos caused by Justin Klinkner. The junior QB…

The only better feeling than winning on opening night is when that win was the team’s first in nearly three years. The Roncalli Jets are coming off of a 0-10 season, with an 0-6 effort the year prior, but the team will finish this season with at least one win under their belt! It was an incredible atmosphere at Ron Rubick Municipal Field in Manitowoc as Roncalli took town Manitowoc Lutheran 26-20. Things started slow for both teams as there was no score in the first quarter. The Lutheran Lancers were immediately made aware of the explosiveness of Brayden Reimer…

It isn’t all sunshine and rainbows anymore in Reedsville as reality has set in. The Panthers will no longer have #4 around. Brennan Dvorachek might’ve been one of the most gifted athletes at any level, and he absolutely dominated in the Division 7 high school football playoffs. A 10-point loss to Cedar Grove-Belgium on October 8th didn’t slow down Reedsville as they had every intention of playing through the middle of November. That vision ultimately became a reality, and a 17-0 shutout over then undefeated Coleman resulted in the Reedsville Panthers claiming their first football state championship. Before Reedsville even…

Manitowoc Lincoln is coming off of a very interesting 4-6 season. Last year was the first time the Fox River Classic Conference split into two, now featuring the FRCC North and South. The Ships participate in the South, which includes Green Bay East, Green Bay West, Menasha, Notre Dame, Sheboygan North, and Sheboygan South. Oddly enough, Lincoln’s four wins come against the four coordinates: Sheboygan North, Green Bay East, Sheboygan South, and Green Bay West. Quite the accomplishment to say the least. Brett Prange was the ultimate part of the Ships offense. Prange was an all-conference running back who made…

The Eastern Wisconsin Conference was once dominated by the tri-fold of KLC.  However, there is a new odds-on favorite in the conference this season.  KLC will be losing their star QB, Robby Michael, along with his dynamic receiving threat, Casey Verhagen. Not to say that Kohler/Sheboygan Lutheran/Christian won’t be competitive this year… It is just hard to match what Two Rivers is bringing to the table this season. Two Rivers is coming off a 6-4 season. The Raiders were less than pleased with their 18-6 playoff loss to #2 Denmark, who would ultimately defeat KLC 46-40 the following week. After…
