Aaron Rodgers was sitting on the sidelines on Thursday night during the Hall of Fame game between the New York Jets and the Cleveland Browns in Canton, Ohio. Throughout the game, he was wearing a headset and was also getting interviewed by the NBC Broadcast.
Rodgers was talking about Garrett Wilson in the interview, and he felt like he saw something in this player like he did with Davante Adams.
“Man, Garrett, what an amazing kid,” Rodgers told Cris Colinsworth and Mike Tirico on the NBC Broadcast about Garrett Wilson. Aaron Rodgers continued and also said, “I have so much love and respect for Davante Adams, he’s the best receiver in the league. I don’t say this lightly but there are traits this 17 (Wilson) has that special 17 (Adams) has as well. I’m not going to put him in that category yet because Davante is in a category by himself, but Garrett has the potential to be special… He has great talent, incredible work ethic, and he’s a freaking great kid. He’s a good human being. He cares about it and carries himself the right way like a seasoned vet.”
Aaron Rodgers Has High Praises For Garrett Wilson On NBC
This season and beyond, Aaron Rodgers will be working with his top receiving target, Garrett Wilson. Wilson won the Offensive Rookie of the Year Award last season while dealing with different quarterbacks. Wilson Jr. caught 83 passes for 1,103 yards receiving and four touchdowns.
He can very well easily repeat those numbers this season and potentially have more yardage and touchdowns. Garrett Wilson can very well be a top-10 wide receiver in the NFL once the 2023 season concludes.
Aaron Rodgers played with Davante Adams from 2014-2021, and although Rodgers won’t play with Garrett Wilson forever, it is quite interesting to see Rodgers compare those two wide receivers.
