The Green Bay Packers are 4-7 and have just a nine percent chance to make the Playoffs this season. After an emotional victory over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night, the team lost a very winnable contest on Thursday night to the Tennessee Titans. After the loss, spirits were low in regards to the Packers making the Playoffs. Aaron Rodgers, however, still believes in his team.
Aaron Rodgers Expressed Faith in the Packers After the Loss
In his postgame press conference, Rodgers did not shy away from taking some of the blame for the loss. “Obviously, I’ve got to play up to potential. Tonight, I wasn’t,” he said. He went on:
“If we can play up to our potential, we can win our last six games. I’m confident in that. The season is not over. There’s still six opportunities left. We’ve got a tough game [against the Eagles], got to go to Philly. Hopefully we can use these extra few days to get a little healthy or refresh the mind, and then obviously we’ve got to win these next games.”
The Packers Do Not Have an Easy Schedule Going Forward
As the odds indicate, the Packers do not have a very easy road to the Playoffs right now. They essentially need to win all six of their remaining games, and none of them will be easy. Though the do have games against the Bears and Lions, each of those teams always play tough against the Packers. Green Bay has already lost one game to Detroit this season.
- At Philadelphia (8-1)
- At Chicago (3-7)
- Home vs. Rams (3-6)
- At Miami (7-3)
- Home vs. Vikings (8-1)
- Home vs. Lions (3-6)
Each one of these games are definitely winnable games. However, the Packers need to magically fix all of their constant mistakes quickly in order to have a chance at winning enough of them to sneak into the playoffs.
