The Green Bay Packers and Aaron Rodgers are in the midst of a three-game winning streak and fighting for their playoff lives. Those three wins came against the Chicago Bears, Los Angeles Rams, and Miami Dolphins. Now, sitting at 7-8 they just need a few more things to go their way to secure that seventh seed. Winning their final two games is the top priority. Aaron Rodgers spoke out about the Packers’ current biggest rival in the NFL, and it just so happens to be a team standing in their way.
Aaron Rodgers Lists Minnesota Vikings As Their Top Rival
According to Aaron Rodgers, the Chicago Bears are currently dethroned as the Packers’ biggest rival. That now belongs to the Minnesota Vikings. The team the Packers will face on Sunday at Lambeau Field. Here’s what he said, via Pro Football Talk:
“They’ve been a little bit better consistently since the Urlacher crew left Chicago,” Rodgers said. “The intensity is a little bit higher, obviously they’ve been playing really well, they’re a better football team than Chicago this year.”
The Vikings upset the Packers to open the season and currently own one of the best records in the NFC. The Packers will look to exact revenge and continue their improbable playoff push this weekend. The game is set for 3:25 CT on Sunday and is projected to be in the mid 30s for kickoff. A win would bring Green Bay back to .500 for the first time since October 16th when they lost to the New York Jets 27-10. The Packers offense has looked much different in recent weeks with the emergence of Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs on the field at the same time. If Green Bay wants to win this weekend, they’ll likely use both. The Vikings defense is currently dead last (32nd) in the NFL in pass yards allowed per game. The Packers should certainly be able to take advantage.
