WIAA D2 Semifinal: #1 Waukesha West – 2 vs. #4 West De Pere – 3 (FINAL/OT)
This was the best game of the day when it came to WIAA State Boys Soccer. Lets just say it was the first game today that both teams scored points. Waukesha West led for most of this game 2-0 and that was the Halftime score.
Scoring for Waukesha West early on today was Andrew James who delivered a goal assisted by Chase Frea at the 12 minute mark to give them the 1-0 lead. Then at the 24 minute mark Waukesha West scores once again this time by Connor Urban and was assisted by Andrew James and West lead 2-0 at the 24 minute mark.
To the second half we go as this might have been the Phantom’s best half a year starting down 2-0 and we hit the 52nd minute when Landen Arnstad hit West De Pere’s first goal assisted by Tyler Kowlacyk and the game was now 2-1. The night only gets crazier with 17 seconds left in the game West De Pere hits the game tying goal from Carter Borley who headbutted the game tying kick assisted from Landen Arnstad.
Overtime we head where it ended up being all West De Pere as Landen Arnstad the day he has had kicks the game winning goal from the right wing to give the Phantoms the lead 3-2 at the 85th minute and they would go on to win.

WIAA D2 Semifinal: #2 DeForest – 0 vs. #3 Union Grove – 2
The final game of the night took place between DeForest and Union Grove and they got the most chilly game of them all under the lights in Milwaukee.
During the Division 2 Semifinal Game Union Grove did all of the scoring in the first half tonight with goals coming from Owen Zikowski which was 24 seconds into the game on a penalty kick so Union Grove was not messing around to start this one. During the 23rd minute, Union Grove scored there second goal of the night and there last goal which gave them 2-0 lead and that would go on to hold, that was scored by Niall Hagen.
An additional piece for Union Grove tonight was the Goalie Finn Jacobs saved two goals that could have potentially put us at a tie game.
Tucker Schmidt who played goalie for DeForest tonight faced nine shots and had two saves as goalie.
DeForest only had two shots on goal all night and Union Grove seemed to play pretty good defense today as well.
The Union Grove Broncos will face the West De Pere Phantoms in the Division 2 State Championship game at 1:30pm on Saturday.
