Wisconsin Lands South Florida CB Hallman

Wisconsin gains yet another June commitment as class of 2021 cornerback Ricardo Hallman announced his commitment to the Badgers. Hallman becomes the 15th known commitment for this class. The Rivals’ four-star recruit becomes yet another defensive back from Southern Florida to become a Badger. Wisconsin beats out Penn State, Michigan, Arkansas, Louisville and a host of others.

    Impact

While Wisconsin generally doesn’t get highly ranked perimeter players defensively, this is a nice recruiting win for Jim Leonhard. After losing out on Kalen King this spring to PSU, it was imperative to get a ‘top of the board’ guy. These are the type of players Wisconsin needs to compete with the helmet schools consistently. Wisconsin’s shown the ability to hang with the best, but the opposing wide receivers find a way to take over.

    Who’s next?

Wisconsin would love to pair Hallman with Robert Regan Jr out of California. Regan is in the much talked about commit group chat according to Deacon Hill on the Locked on Badger Podcast, so it is logical choice he could be next. It will not be surprising if you see a wide receiver commit in the near future. WR Coach Alvis Whitted has been extending more offers out lately, so you might see one jump on board as spots are filling up.
