The Wisconsin football staff is eagerly recruiting the 2026 class as a certain running back has become the center of the Badgers attention.
Tradarian Ball, a four-star running back in the 2026 recruiting class, had one of the more impressive seasons across High School football this past season. Ball is a highly touted athlete that can make defenses pay in multiple different ways, which has brought on plenty of collegiate attention. Now, the Wisconsin football staff hopes to jump deep into the mix.
Wisconsin Football Targeting 2026 RB Tradarian Ball After Dominant Season
This past season, 2026 four-star running back Tradarian Ball had a season to remember that truly put his name on the collegiate recruiting map. Ball, a Texas native, rushed for 1235 yards and 12 touchdowns while adding 400 yards and six touchdowns through the air. The shifty running back proved he can run and receive the football this past season, which opened the eyes of plenty of scouts.
The powerful running back has an incredible balance of speed, size, and athleticism that makes it difficult for defenses to stop him. At 5-foot-10-inches, 175-pounds, Ball packs a punch and when the track athlete gets a head of steam, he can easily make a defender miss or go through them if needed. The most beautiful aspect of the abilities of Ball is his footwork, which makes complicated moves look simple.
Ball currently holds 30 scholarship offers, with his biggest offer coming from the hometown Texas Longhorns football program.
The Breakdown: What Could Ball Add to the Wisconsin Badgers Football Team?
Much like any recruit, there are different aspects of football that Ball could bring to the Badgers that other recruits cannot. Perhaps the biggest attraction inside the running back’s is his versatility and ability to do whatever the offense needs. Ball can catch passes and lose defensive backs, cut through the linebackers with an array of moves, or sit on the check-down route if he needs to.
While Ball is not the greatest blocker, the versatility he can bring to the offense in the rest of the game could change the way the Badgers attack teams. Ball adds a layer of uncertainty to the offense that can throw off defenders easily.
A Look Ahead: Could Wisconsin Land Ball in the Near Future?
At this point in time, it is difficult to tell whether or not Wisconsin football has made an impact on Ball. Ball is an elusive running back with nearly every collegiate offer you could ask for, which might mean Wisconsin is not at the top of the list yet. The biggest school to watch in the near future is the Texas Longhorns in the chase for Ball.
Ball has a great relationship with the Longhorns staff and the location of the campus appears to be a key part of the running back’s decision. Wisconsin will have to battle hard to win over Ball.
