The Wisconsin football staff has been working hard to land more commitments in their 2024 recruiting class. Recently, the staff received a crystal ball prediction for a player that once seemed out of reach.
Emerson Mandell, a 2024 four-star offensive lineman, is ranked as the 24th offensive tackle in the class. Mandell is also ranked as the top recruit in the state of Minnesota in the class currently. The talented lineman had been extremely close to coach PJ Fleck and Minnesota, but now seems to be leaning towards Madison.
Wisconsin Football: 2024 Four-Star Emerson Mandell Would Be A Massive Commitment For The Badgers
Coming in at 6-foot-5-inches, 295-pounds, the powerful lineman Mandell is an absolute bruiser on the football field. As big as Mandell is, he also has the speed and agility to defend the quarterback from multiple positions along the line. Wisconsin began recruiting the lineman last season and offered him this past April. Thus far, offensive line coach Jack Bicknell Jr has been the primary contact for Mandell and seemingly has created a solid relationship.
The Wisconsin Badgers football staff has been eagerly recruiting big, strong linemen for their offensive and defensive lines. Coach Luke Fickell and Bicknell have been working closely together as of late, landing big commitments from Ryan Cory, Kevin Heywood, and Colin Cubberly. Wisconsin has strategically picked players that fit the mold they feel will work best for the team. Now, it seems as though the staff has found another player that fits.
Mandell is a big, powerful lineman that can move significantly well for his size. It is no surprise why the Wisconsin football staff would be interested in the talented recruit. Mandell made his official visit to Madison on June 13th, and later completed a visit to Iowa State. The lineman also completed a visit to Minnesota prior to visiting Wisconsin.
Can the Wisconsin Badgers Football Staff Land Another Splash Commitment?
Currently, Mandell has two crystal ball predictions from 247 Sports and one of them is particularly telling. Iowa State insider Nick Osen logged a crystal ball for Mandell that has the athlete landing in Madison. While nothing is set in stone, a prediction for Wisconsin coming from another school Mandell visited bodes well for the Badgers. The Wisconsin football staff would make a massive splash with the commitment of Mandell.
