The Wisconsin football staff has landed their top recruit in the 2024 recruiting class after a spectacular running back joined the team.
Dilin Jones, a 2024 four-star running back from Maryland, has offers from Penn State, Auburn, and other top programs. The Badgers held Jones for an official visit last month and seemed to peak the interest of the recruit. Jones was projected to go elsewhere after the Wisconsin staff brought in two other running backs in the class. However, Jones will become a Badger after all.

Jones is considered to be a top-ten running back in the 2024 recruiting class after a stellar Junior season. The rising Senior is currently the third ranked recruit in the state of Maryland with eyes on the top spot. Jones is a dynamic, versatile running back that can multiple different things on the football field for his team.
The talented running back commits to the Badgers just days after the team added their two linemen to the class in a short period of time. Emerson Mandell and Dillan Johnson are both powerful, physical linemen to block in-front of three new running backs.
Jones does come as a surprise for Badgers fans as Darrion Dupree and Gideon Ituka are also committed to Wisconsin in the same class. The versatility and differences in play style between the three should allow all of them to find stable playing time. Dupree and Jones in particular offer skillsets that Offensive Coordinator Phil Longo can find a use for due to their pass-catching ability as well.
The Wisconsin football staff now has a new highest-ranked recruit in their 2024 class with the commitment of Jones. Wisconsin Badgers football fans are excited as ever after seeing the future of “Running Back University” slowly grow under coach Luke Fickell.
