Recently, Wisconsin football offensive coordinator Phil Longo met with yet another talented quarterback recruit.
Brady Palmer, a 2026 dual-threat quarterback, has been a significant name in the recruiting class thus far. Palmer has attended multiple camps with different colleges as of late to gain more experience. The Wisconsin football staff has kept a close eye on Palmer since the recruit began to visit various camps.

Currently, the 2026 recruit Palmer is not ranked and comes in at 5-foot-11-inches, 165-pounds, with plenty of room to grow. Palmer still has three years of high school football before he enters the collegiate realm, which means the young quarterback should improve greatly.
The Wisconsin Badgers football staff is full of coaches who are eager to find the “gems” in each class. Offensive Coordinator Phil Longo is one of those coaches who is extremely particular and hand-picks his recruits. Longo does an incredible amount of recruiting on quarterbacks in particular due to his ability to coach them. Some of the most notable quarterbacks Longo has worked with include Washington Commanders starter Sam Howell and potential top pick Drake Maye.
Palmer is a bit smaller compared to most of the tall, long quarterbacks that Longo typically works with. However, Palmer has an exceptional eye when looking downfield both in and out of the pocket. He also has solid pocket presence and often avoids incoming contact. While he may not be the “right” size yet, the recruit still has enough time to grow into his frame.
