Former Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has certainly made some headlines since he was traded to the New York Jets in April of 2023. Due to his Achilles Injury last season many of Rodgers’ headlines have (unfortunately) been made off the field.
However, during practice this week, fans saw something they’re not accustomed to with Rodgers under center.
Former Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers Struggles In Major Way With The New York Jets

According to Jets beat reporter Rich Cimini:
Rodgers struggled in two red-zone periods, completing only 2 of 7 passes. Seemed a bit off. Receivers didn’t have great separation. Ended on a high note, hitting Lazard for a TD while stepping up in the pocket from the 9. #Jets
Rodgers has made a living in the redzone throughout his career. Seeing him struggle at that end of the field is not usual. It must be noted that defenses often rule the day early across the league when it comes to training camp.
Over the last few seasons (both with the Jets and Packers) Rodgers has formed a habit of skipping multiple off-season programs. Many critics believe the slow starts to the season can be directly attributed to that. It will be interesting to see if the Jets start fast in 2024. They’ll start their season on the road against the San Francisco 49ers.
