Bracketology: Where do the Wisconsin Badgers Stand in March?

According to most bracketology experts, the Wisconsin Badgers are on the NCAA Tournament bubble as we enter the final week of the regular season. A win Thursday against Purdue would go a long way toward getting them into the big dance. They are also running out of time to stack up wins. The Badgers have enough quad one and quad two wins to get in, but they need more total wins. With Selection Sunday 12 days away, here are what the bracketology analysts from ESPN, CBS, and FOX are saying about where the Badgers currently stand.

    ESPN Bracketology

According to Joe Lundardi of ESPN, he has Wisconsin as one of the Last 4 In. Lunardi has Wisconsin as an 11 seed in the South Region. The Badgers would face Arizona State in Dayton. A win would result in a battle with six-seed Kentucky.

    CBS Sports

Jerry Palm isn’t usually high on Wisconsin and typically has them seeded lower than most bracketology experts. However, Palm also has the Badgers as one of the Last 4 In too. Palm has the Badgers facing Mississippi State as an 11 seed in Dayton. The six seed in this region would be the TCU Horned Frogs.

    FOX Sports Bracketology

Michael DeCoursey of FOX Sports also has the Badgers in the field right now. Like the others, DeCoursey has Wisconsin as one of the Last 4 In. The Badgers are listed as a 12 seed playing in Dayton against Oklahoma State. The five seed in this region would be Saint Mary’s, who the Badgers beat in the Maui Invitational Finale last season.

Bracketology analysts have been pretty consistent with the Badgers as of late. Wisconsin has a good résumé, and there’s no denying that. The issue is they don’t have enough total wins. Unfortunately, they have squandered a handful of those opportunities. There are still some time left, but the time for Wisconsin to capitalize is now.
