The Wisconsin Badgers picked up a big win on the road yesterday. Even with their best player out, Iowa is no joke at home. The Badgers came in and pulled out an overtime victory. This has become a theme for the Wisconsin basketball team. Wisconsin basketball is taking care of business on the road.

    Defense travels 🔒😤

Wisconsin Basketball Are Becoming Road Warriors

This season, the Badgers are 5-1 on the road. However, that stat is a little deceiving. Since they played in the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament, the lone loss on the road was to Kansas during that tournament. The Badgers are 2-0 in true road games meaning games played with the other team at home. Wins at Marquette and Iowa are quality road wins. The road success dates back to last season. The Badgers are 11-2 in true road games and have won six straight on the road dating back to last season.

    Getting It Done With Defense

It is no secret how the Badgers have been able to sustain the road success. The elite defense is the key. Last night that was on full display. In overtime, the Badgers had a couple of huge steals in order to seal the game. In many of their wins, including the one against ranked Maryland, the defense was the key to victory. Sometimes shots do not fall. It is the nature of basketball. However, defense always travels well.

The Wisconsin Badgers basketball team’s defense is making the team dangerous on the road. In any game, they will be a tough out because of their defense. The Badgers look to keep the winning going as Lehigh comes to Madison on Thursday.
