Wisconsin Prepares for Final Installment of Gavitt Games
- The Gavitt Games began in 2015 and are an annual set of eight games between teams in the Big Ten and the Big East conferences. The inter-conference event was named after the founder of the Big East, Dave Gavitt. This season will reportedly hold the final iteration of the games due to changes in conference television agreements.
Wisconsin basketball last appeared in the Gavitt Games in 2021. In that game, the Badgers hosted Providence at the Kohl Center. The Friars left Madison with a 63-59 victory.
