Wisconsin basketball has been recruiting Jackson McAndrew for nearly as long as any program in the country. Head coach Greg Gard first offered McAndrew in September of 2022. It was only his second scholarship offer from a power conference program at the time. Nearly a year later, McAndrew’s recruitment is nearing its conclusion.
Four-Star Wisconsin Basketball Target Jackson McAndrew to Announce College Decision August 1st
Adam Finkelstein of 247Sports reported that McAndrew will announce his commitment at 3:00 PM CDT on August 1st.
Jackson McAndrew, a four-star prospect and one of the truly elite shooters in the national class, will announce his commitment live tomorrow on the @247Sports channel.

The Plymouth, Minnesota native is an impressive shooter. At six feet nine inches and 210 pounds, the power forward can catch and shoot from beyond the arc or create plays inside the paint.

A three-star recruit according to the 247Sports Composite, McAndrew is the 34th-ranked power forward and 166th-ranked player overall in the 2024 class. According to 247Sports and Rivals, he is a four-star recruit and a top-100 prospect.
The decision for McAndrew comes after naming Wisconsin, Creighton, Notre Dame, and Xavier in his top four. He took official visits to each school. Despite being an AAU teammate of Wisconsin basketball commits Daniel Freitag and Jack Robison, McAndrew appears to be carving his own path. Shortly after McAndrew revealed his commitment date, multiple insiders published predictions that McAndrew would land at Creighton.
Wisconsin Basketball Recruiting: State of the 2024 Class
Wisconsin basketball currently has the 16th-ranked 2024 recruiting class, according to 247Sports. The Badgers rank fourth in the Big Ten. Rutgers, Purdue, and Michigan State comprise the conference’s top three.
