We are now less than a month away from the NCAA Tournament. After missing out last season, Wisconsin basketball will be in the field this year. Last time I did an update, the Badgers were seen as a two seed and in line to potentially be a one seed if they kept winning. However, now losing four of their last six games, a top two seed is now out of the picture. Where do the main bracketologists think the Badgers will be right now?

Joe Lunardi of ESPN came out with a new bracket this morning. He has Wisconsin basketball as a five seed in the West region taking on 12 seed Richmond. The Spiders are out of the A-10 conference. This game would take place in Brooklyn at the Barclays Center.

The number one seed in this region is Arizona. If the Badgers were to beat Richmond, they would take on the winner of four seed Auburn and 13 seed Appalachian State. I, like most, dread being a five seed, The way the Badgers are playing right now, a five seed seems about right.

Jerry Palm of CBS Sports also came out with a new bracket this morning. Palm has Wisconsin basketball as a five seed in the West region playing 12 seed South Florida. The Bulls would probably be one of the last team into the field. This game would take place in Salt Lake City.

What I found interesting was Palm has North Carolina as the number one seed in this region. If the Badgers were to beat South Florida, they would face the winner of four seed San Diego State and 13 seed McNeese. San Diego State made it to the National Championship last season. I believe McNeese is a dark horse Sweet 16 team. This would be a bad second round matchup for the Badgers.

Mike DeCourcy of FOX Sports came out with a new bracket this morning as well. He has Wisconsin basketball as a five seed too. DeCourcy has the Badgers in the East region facing Indiana State out of the Missouri Valley Conference. The Sycamores have been ranked most of the season, but are in a little bit of a skid right now. This would be another bad matchup for Wisconsin.

The number one seed in the East region is UCONN. If Wisconsin basketball were to beat Indiana State, they would face the winner of four seed Auburn and 13 seed Yale.

I do like the consistency in these brackets. I also know this field will have 12 and 13 seeds that have the potential to do damage this year. If the Badgers can get themselves off the five line and to a four line, I like their chances to make a run to the second weekend.
