The Wisconsin Badgers have had a good couple of days in the transfer portal. They landed a talented cornerback yesterday from Toledo and have also remade the linebackers’ room in the past couple of weeks. More help is on the way for the defense. Former USC linebacker Tackett Curtis announced he has committed to the Badgers.

Wisconsin Badgers Land LB Tackett Curtis
Curtis was all over the field for the Trojans in 2023. He had 40 total tackles, two sacks, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries. As a four-star recruit, he held over 40 offers but chose the Trojans. What makes this commitment even sweeter is it was reported that Big Ten rival Ohio State was in the running but ultimately did not land the talented linebacker. This is the fourth linebacker that the team has landed from the portal. Luke Fickell and his staff are making sure that they have plenty of talent at the position after a disappointing 2023.
2024 Transfer Portal Class
According to On3, Wisconsin now has a top ten transfer portal class in 2024. While they have had 15 players leave via the portal, the 11 players coming in have been top-tier talent. The Badgers are the highest-ranked Big Ten team in the rankings with newcomer Washington being one spot behind them. Obviously, a lot can change throughout the course of the offseason but Fickell and his staff are showing that they can bring talent to Madison.
Can the Wisconsin Badgers bounce back in 2024? They are making sure that they have the talent to do it but now need to prove it on the field.
