Week eight in the NFL brought about upsets, milestones, and plenty of great play for former Wisconsin Badgers. We saw plenty of intrigue during Week seven, as former stars like Russell Wilson, Jonathan Taylor, and TJ Watt had big weeks for their teams on the big stage. Did the same happen to them in week eight?

Former Wisconsin Badgers O-Line Kevin Zeitler Reaches Milestone

Kevin Zeitler has been as consistent as they come in the NFL after his tenure with the Wisconsin Badgers, taking the field in at least 14 games each season since 2014. This has given him ample time to earn an impressive milestone with the Baltimore Ravens win over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. That win made Zeitler the 17th player to win against every team in the NFL. He accomplished this by playing for the Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, New York Giants, and the Ravens.

    KEVIN. ZEITLER.

TJ Edwards and the Chicago Bears

TJ Edwards has been a huge boost for a dismal Chicago Bears team. The former Wisconsin Badgers linebacker enjoyed another classic Edwards game with 8 solo tackles and 13 total. Two of those were tackles for a loss, which brought him to pass Joe Schobert on the all-time Wisconsin Badgers TFL list with 24.

He also recovered a fumble to go along with his stellar day on defense.

Jack Sanborn also dropped six solo tackles for the Chicago Bears, surpassing 100 total tackles for his career.

Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos Upset Leo Chenal and the Kansas City Chiefs

Two former Wisconsin Badgers found themselves on opposite sides of the field this past week in QB Russell Wilson and LB Leo Chenal. Wilson led the Denver Broncos to a 24-9 upset over the Kansas City Chiefs. Wilson went 12 for 19 through the air with 114 yards and three touchdowns under center. He also helped command 153 rushing yards.

Leo Chenal went with 10 tackles, 4 of them solo tackles, and even sacked Russell Wilson to do his part for the Kansas City Chiefs. Chenal checked many of the boxes for a defensive player and joined 12 other players to register stats comparable to his.

Jonathan Taylor and the Indianapolis Colts

The Indianapolis Colts lost to the New Orleans Saints this week, but it wasn’t because of former Wisconsin Badgers RB Jonathan Taylor. He had 12 carries for 95 yards, leading the team in rushing this week, including this huge run for the Colts.

    BIG run for Jonathan Taylor!

With his 12 carries, he moved into a tie with Dan Lewis at No. 6 for the All-Time carries by a Wisconsin Badger in the NFL. He also reached 4,000 career rushing yards.

Jake Ferguson and the Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys improved to a 5-2 record after their win over the Los Angeles Rams, and former Wisconsin Badgers TE Jake Ferguson was right there helping them out. While Ferguson wasn’t a main target for QB Dak Prescott, he did get four receptions for 47 yards, including a touchdown.
