The Wisconsin Badgers men’s basketball team did not play a game this past week. They were supposed to, but cancelled their home game against Grambling State due to inclement weather. That did not keep them from moving up in the rankings though. The new AP Poll has the Wisconsin Badgers ranked 15th in the nation. Last week they had been ranked 17th.

The AP was not the only poll in which the Badgers moved up in the rankings. Last week, the Badgers were ranked 18th in the coaches’ poll. This week they moved up three spots to 15.
Purdue, with a perfect 12-0 record, still maintain the top spot in both polls. Wisconsin is not slated to play Purdue until March 2.
Aside from Purdue and Wisconsin, Indiana is the only other Big Ten team ranked in the AP Top 25. However, two other Big Ten teams are ranked in the coaches’ poll. Illinois is ranked 22nd while Maryland is ranked 21st.
