If you thought that the Wisconsin Badgers’ collapse Thursday night against the Nebraska Cornhuskers was insane, it is because it is exactly that. In fact, the Badgers’ loss to their Big Ten rivals was the first of its kind in college basketball in over two decades.

The Wisconsin Badgers Stumble in Rematch Against Nebraska
The Badgers were up by as many as 19 points in the first half before heading into the tunnel at the half with a 16-point lead. That should have been enough for the Wisconsin Badgers to manage and stave off any potential Nebraska comeback attempt. However, the Cornhuskers turned the heat up in the second half. Nebraska’s defense made life hard for the Badgers, who shot just 36 percent from the field in the second half after making 55 percent of their attempts from the floor in the first half.
Despite the painful loss, it’s not the end of the world for Wisconsin which has a golden opportunity to rebound with a huge win on Sunday when they go up against No. 2 Purdue Boilermakers at home.
