The Wisconsin Badgers football staff has led the way in the recruitment of another skilled transfer portal entry. An Alabama defensive back has now become a top target for Luke Fickell and his staff.
Jahquez Robinson, a former four-star recruit from the state of Florida, has decided to leave the University of Alabama with just three days left in the portal window. The new transfer portal addition has barely touched the field in his first three seasons. Now, the cornerback is eager to find the field elsewhere with his transfer intentions being announced.
Wisconsin Badgers Recruiting Alabama’s Jahquez Robinson

Jahquez Robinson was originally a four-star recruit from the state of Florida in the 2020 recruiting class. Robinson was ranked as the 50th overall recruit from Florida and the 21st overall cornerback in the class. The 6-foot-2-inch, 190-pound cornerback held 35 offers out of high school, but after visiting Alabama, he chose to end his recruitment. Robinson chose Alabama over LSU, Florida, and Oklahoma, among other programs.
Robinson appeared in eight games across three seasons for the Crimson Tide, recording two tackles and one sack. The defensive back mainly played special teams for his team but also made a handful of appearances on defense. With Alabama projected to have another star-studded defense this upcoming season, the opportunities for Robinson to play looked slimmer each day. After completing the Spring football season, Robinson submitted his paperwork to enter the transfer portal.
The Wisconsin Badgers and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets have led the recruitment of Jahquez Robinson since he announced his entrance into the portal. Robinson has already made his way onto the Georgia Tech campus for an official visit, which does not bode well for the Badgers. However, Robinson has yet to announce a commitment yet, and Wisconsin is still in the thick of his recruitment.
Wisconsin Badgers Football Eyeing Transfer Portal CB Jahquez Robinson

Since Jahquez Robinson announced he would enter the transfer portal last week, the Badgers have constantly contacted the defensive back. Coach Luke Fickell and the Wisconsin staff have been eager to add to their already talented defense. Fickell feels that the area the team needs to upgrade the most is their secondary. With Robinson, Wisconsin has offered six transfer portal defensive backs in the last two weeks.
Robinson has the exact tools the Badgers feel they need more of on their team. Robinson is a burner, and his game-changing speed allows him to make plays that his opponents do not see coming. The defensive back also has an incredible ability to lock up the offense in coverage and allow a limited amount of receptions. Robinson is looking for a program that can offer him a combination of playing time and on-field success.
The Wisconsin Badgers could be the perfect fit for Robinson as he would fit flawlessly into the scheme. Robinson would be able to play right away and likely would also receive a good amount of playing time.
