Luke Fickell and his staff have been highly active in the transfer portal. They have scored multiple QBs as well as some other talent to help fill out the roster. Fickell and his staff are after top talent again. The Wisconsin Badgers have extended an offer to the top WR in Division II, Isaac TeSlaa.

Happy to announce that I have been offered a scholarship to the University of Wisconsin! Thank you to @Im_MikeB and the Wisconsin coaching staff. Go Badgers!!🦡 @BadgerFootball pic.twitter.com/RT9Wvbrt91

Wisconsin Badgers Offer Scholarship To Isaac TeSlaa

The Wisconsin Badgers are looking to improve their WR situation. TeSlaa is a perfect player to do that. He has been playing Division II ball at Hillsdale College, a small school in Hudsonville, Michigan. This past season he caught 68 passes for 1,325 yards and 13 touchdowns. This stat line earned him the award of the GMAC Offensive Player of the Year. He entered the transfer portal in early December and has been on the radar of many big schools. Whoever gets TeSlaa will be getting a highly productive receiver.

    Fickell Is Opening Doors

In the past, if Wisconsin was in the mix for a top recruit like TeSlaa, it didn’t bode well. The Wisconsin Badgers were not a destination like the other programs. That has completely changed. Top recruits are now giving the Badgers are real look and many are committing to the program and actively trying to get others to join. Luke Fickell’s reputation is opening doors that were once closed on the recruiting trail. In this new age of the transfer portal, Fickell is proving he is a savvy recruiter.

The Wisconsin Badgers are not done signing players. While everyone’s attention is on the College Football Playoff this weekend, Badgers fans will be looking at who else is coming to Madison next year.
