The #23 ranked Wisconsin Badgers will begin BIG10 Conference play on Tuesday night on the road when they face the Michigan State Spartans. Tip-off for that basketball game will begin at 6 p.m. CT. Wisconsin is 6-2 on the year and Michigan State is 4-3 on the year.
The Badgers are coming off their biggest win of the season on Saturday when they defeated the eighth-ranked Marquette Golden Eagles at home by a final score of 75-64. It was huge for them because this will help them with their NCAA Tournament resume come March.
Wisconsin missed the NCAA Tournament last season and will need to be better in conference play this season. Four players were in double digits the other day for the Badgers. Max Klesmit led the way with 21 points for the Wisconsin Badgers. Steven Crowl also added 16 points, AJ Storr had 13 points, and Tyler Wahl also scored 10 points for Wisconsin in the contest.
They all will need to play well again to improve to 1-0 in conference play. Going on the road will be no easy task for this basketball team.
The Wisconsin Badgers Will Need a Big Win on the Road Against a Pesky Michigan State Spartans Basketball Team
Greg Gard’s program will need to be focused against Tom Izzo’s squad. All three of Michigan State’s losses this season are against teams that are currently ranked in the Top 25. The James Madison Dukes are ranked 17th, the Duke Blue Devils are ranked 22nd, and the Arizona Wildcats are ranked first.
Michigan State played their last game last Tuesday against Georgia Southern and won that basketball game by a final score of 86-55. Five players scored in double figures for the Spartans. Jaden Akins scored 14 points, grabbed six rebounds, and recorded one assist.
Tyson Walker added 13 points for Michigan State, Malik Hall scored 11 points, Mady Sissoko scored 10 points, and AJ Hoggard scored 12 points. The Michigan State Spartans also had a player with 10 assists in Jeremy Fears Jr.
They are a very pesky basketball team and are also better than their record indicates. A let down is very possible for the Wisconsin Badgers on Tuesday night on the road against the Michigan State Spartans. This is a game that can go in either direction.
