A Wisconsin Badgers coach is leaving Madison
A Wisconsin Badgers assistant coach is about to leave the school before even coaching a down in the regular season. The Badgers had a staff overhaul this season when they hired Luke Fickell as their head coach. One assistant Fickell brought from Cincinnati to Wisconsin is reportedly on their way to a new school.

According to Pete Thamel with ESON, Gino Guidugli will be the next quarterbacks’ coach at Notre Dame. Guidugli called plays at Cincinnati the previous two seasons. He was the Bearcats’ offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach last season. Guidugli was a quarterback for Cincinnati from 2001-2004.

Guidugli was named the Badgers tight end coach and passing game coordinator for 2023. The Badgers hired top offensive mind Phil Longo to be their offensive coordinator, so Guidugli would not have had the opportunity to call plays next season.
Guidugli will have the opportunity to work with a top quarterback transfer next season. Notre Dame received Sam Hartman in the transfer portal. Notre Dame is currently interviewing for an offensive coordinator after Tommy Rees took the same job title at Alabama.
