The Packers picked up an improbable win yesterday versus the Cowboys. After dropping five straight, the Packers got one in the win column in overtime. After the game, many players and coaches had a sense of relief about them. Matt LaFleur gave an emotional locker room speech after the game.

Say what you want about Matt LaFleur but he cares about this team. He knows that this team is full of talent and has not been playing up to its full potential. This was a game that many did not give the Packers a chance in. They pulled out an improbable come-from-behind victory. With how weak the NFC is, the Packers’ playoff chances got a little brighter with the win on Sunday. “So proud of you guys,” LaFleur said in his speech. He seemed happier about the win for them than he did for himself.
This Team Has No Quit
The Packers had every reason to give up on the season. They were 3-6 and the next three games were against current playoff teams. People were calling for them to tank for a higher draft pick and see what they have in Jordan Love. All hope seemed lost. This team does not quit. We’ve seen it before with other teams. The season isn’t going how it was supposed to and players give up, quit on the coach, or play simply for themselves to make sure they get their next contract. This team is playing hard for LaFleur. That says something about what kind of coach LaFleur is. Again, you can question some of his coaching decisions but I don’t think you can question that players love to play for him.
If the Packers make any noise the rest of the season, this game is the catalyst for that success. I don’t expect this team to quit and give up on the season which means they have a chance. Hearing Matt LaFleur give an emotional locker room speech gives me hope for the future of the Packers.
