Vikings fans talked a pretty big game on social media ahead of Minnesota’s Week 17 tilt with the Green Bay Packers. Perhaps we cannot blame them. After all, Minnesota has won the NFC North and already defeated the Packers this season. However, it was the Packers who came out on top by the score of 41-17 on Sunday afternoon. With the win, the Packers have placed themselves in control of their own destiny. If they win next week against the Detroit Lions, they too will go to the playoffs. Afterwards, Vikings fans took to social media and shared some pretty wild thoughts and theories surrounding the game.
Tantrum #1- The Packers Got the Field Wet in a Way that Only Affected Vikings Players
There are conspiracy theories, and then there are wild pieces of fiction so incredible everyone must wonder if the author is okay. Such is the case for this Reddit poster:
Vikings fans on Reddit are legitimately suggesting a conspiracy theory in which the Packers overwatered the middle of the field in a way that would somehow affect only the Vikings' players. pic.twitter.com/mX5Tkt59m9

In this post, the Viking fan states that the Packers somehow got the middle of the field wet on purpose. Not only that, but they did so in a away that it would just affect Vikings players. I would say you can’t make this stuff up, but apparently you can.
Tantrum #2- Going After Wayne Larrivee For Doing His Job
One would think that a fanbase that has to listen to Paul Allen would not be so quick to criticizing other broadcasters. Yet, here is this Vikings fan taking to Twitter to tell Wayne Larrivee that he was too critical of Minnesota today:
I usually have an honest amount of respect for you, but today, you crossed a line. Take a couple jabs at us and that's fine. But the ENTIRE game you kept making jabs. I get you have a specific audience to appease. Congrats on today. We'll see you down the road.

Tantrum #3- Vikings Broadcaster Doesn’t Think Jaire Alexander Is That Good
Jaire Alexander did plenty of talk going into the game about how Justin Jefferson’s Week One performance was a fluke. Apparently on Vikings broadcaster disagrees, and doesn’t think Alexander is all that great:
The breakdown of this loss is simple. And don’t believe the Jaire hype train.
I still believe in this team. #skol pic.twitter.com/HKuqRx1MtW— Ben Leber (@nacholeber) January 2, 2023
Judging by Justin Jefferson’s tantrum in which he hit an official with his helmet, I’m not sure I agree with his analysis.
