Green Bay, Wisconsin: Aaron Jones, Packers defenders, and Keisean Nixon have erased all the horrible memories from Week One. Then, the Packers were 23-7 losers. Now, they are 41-17 winners, 8-8, and one win away from making the NFL Playoffs. Typically, I do a “Three Studs and Duds” article following each Packers game. Fortunately for Packers fans, there were far too many stud performances to limit to just three. Therefore, I have decided to highlight all of the great performances from the Packers’ dominating win.
Aaron Jones Dashed the Vikings Defense
Early in the game, Aaron Jones hit the 1,000-yard mark for his season. This marked the third time in the past four seasons that Jones reached 1,000 yards. He is just the fourth Packers running back ever to have three 1,000-yard seasons, joining Ahman Green, Jim Taylor, and John Brockington.
Congratulations to Aaron Jones on going over 1,000 yards rushing. A great @Packers player and an even better human being. 👍 pic.twitter.com/AvEsAI8wZK

In this Packers vs Vikings game, Jones ran the ball 14 times for 111 yards.
Keisean Nixon Ties a Packers Record
From a game-time decision to the Packers record books. Such was the day for Packers’ return specialist Keisean Nixon. With his 105-yard kickoff return in the first quarter, Nixon tied the Packers’ record for most 100-yard return games in a season (six). It was his only return of the day as the Vikings did not score again until the fourth quarter. It was still enough to continue Nixon’s legendary run.

Darnell Savage Switched Positions and Played Well
Struggling safety Darnell Savage had his best game of the season in this Packers-Vikings matchup, but it did not come from the safety position. Instead, Savage started at cornerback with Rudy Ford and Adrian Amos starting at safety. The position change, as well as Savage finally buying into the scheme, led to a memorable pick-six early in the game:

I would be remiss, of course, if I did not also point out Rasul Douglas, who tipped the pass to Savage, therefore making the pick six possible.
The Safeties
All season long, I have been critical of the Packers’ safety play. However, in this Packers Vikings game, both Adrian Amos and Rudy Ford came away with interceptions.

Kenny Clark
There has been a lot of criticism thrown at Kenny Clark this season. A lot of it was unwarranted as he has been getting double-teamed like crazy with a lack of support he has had. TJ Slaton and Devonte Wyatt each had solid games, as well, though, and freed up Clark to make this big play:

Robert Tonyan
It felt like fans got to see the 2020 version Robert Tonyan in this matchup against the Vikings. Tonyan was a legitimate threat in the passing game just like he was before he hurt his knee. He finished with three receptions for 52 yards and a touchdown.

Jaire Alexander
Going into this game, Jaire Alexander rocked the boat by calling Justin Jefferson’s astounding performance in Week One a fluke. Well, he sure did back that up. The Packers and Alexander became the first team in the NFL this season to hold Jefferson without a catch in the first half. In total, Jefferson finished with a single catch for 15 yards and one massive temper tantrum.
