Odell Beckham Jr. (OBJ) has reportedly narrowed down his search to two teams. OBJ will meet with the New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys after Thanksgiving. Currently, these are the only known teams that Beckham is visiting with. However, there could be multiple other teams interested in meeting with OBJ besides the Giants and Cowboys.
OBJ To Meet With Giants & Cowboys
It has been reported that OBJ visited the Giants’ facility recently to check in on his former teammate Sterling Shepard after Shepard tore his ACL. OBJ was drafted by the Giants in 2014. But he was traded to the Cleveland Browns in 2019. Signing with the Giants would definitely be a homecoming for Beckham. In addition, the Giants are likely on their way to a playoff berth, which is an attractive aspect for Odell. Without OBJ the Giants currently sit at 7-3.
The Dallas Cowboys have also been vocal about their interest in OBJ. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones spoke highly of Odell, saying, “We have all the appreciation in the world for Odell. I know the Cowboys star on that helmet, when he puts it on, could look pretty good.” According to sources, OBJ is mutually interested in signing with the Cowboys. Beckham plans to visit with Dallas next Monday or Tuesday. The Cowboys are 6-3 and are currently in the playoff picture as the sixth seed.
OBJ visiting the Giants and Cowboys signals he wants to sign with a Super Bowl contender, or at least a playoff contender. Other teams that are potentially in the hunt to land Beckham are the Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills and San Francisco 49ers.
It is believed that teams like the Green Bay Packers and Los Angeles Rams have fallen out of contention for Beckham Jr due to their recent struggles. But where do you think he will end up?
