Milwaukee Brewers fans, ain’t this the perfect time of the year? With the weather getting warmer and warmer, fans are eagerly awaiting the ballpark hot dogs and exhibition matches starting later this month. Some of the more hardcore fans are already watching spring training games with an unmeasurable passion.
Brewers fans might not be a part of that group. With how bitter last year ended, and how sad it was seeing Corbin Burnes become an Oriole, some fans might not be excited for the new year.
Those who are eager to watch the Brewers have some exciting matchups to look forward to. The schedule makers didn’t hold back when making the Brewers schedule, putting some of the most anticipated series in the best possible spots.
Milwaukee Brewers @ Mets (Opening Weekend)
Milwaukee starts its season off against one of the most popular teams in baseball the Mets.
This year’s Opening Day sees a new face on the mound for Milwaukee – Freddy Peralta takes the reins after an underrated 2023, opposing the Mets’ Jose Quintana. Both pitchers will be replacing departed or missing aces: Peralta steps in for the traded Burnes and injured Woodruff, while Quintana fills the void left by Senga’s current shoulder injury.
Milwaukee Brewers @ Dodgers (July 4th)
The Brewers will be taking to Los Angeles for a 4 game series against the league’s perennial superteam. It should be a fun series with one or multiple primetime games that will give Brewers fans something fun to watch during the popular holiday weekend. The All-Star break after will also add to the fun, making for an exciting July.
Milwaukee Brewers Vs. Cardinals (Sep 2nd)
Two division rivals who are always in the thick of the postseason hunt will be facing off at the perfect time. Even if neither team makes the playoffs, Brewers-Cardinals is always fun to watch.
Milwaukee Brewers @ Diamondbacks (Sept 13th)
The Brewers don’t play the team that beat them in the postseason last year until the final month of the year. Not only that, but they play them in 2 different series in November.
The first series will be most exciting, however, because it’s when the Brewers will be the most emotional. After one or two games, their desire for revenge may subside – but those first games will easily be popcorn-worthy for fans of both teams.
Milwaukee Brewers Vs. Mets (Closing Weekend)
The Brewers end the year against the same non-divisional rival they started the year with. Considering the potential playoff implications, this might just be a must-watch baseball series for Brewers and greater MLB fans at large.
