Titans Named ‘Great Spot’ For Aaron Rodgers Trade

The 2023 NFL offseason has already been busy, with big storylines like Tom Brady retiring and Sean Payton being traded to the Denver Broncos to be their next head coach already happening. An ongoing storyline has gripped the league, which is the trade rumors surrounding Green Bay Packers’ superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Those rumors and reports do not seem likely to stop anytime soon.

At this point in time, it seems very likely that Rodgers will be on his way out of Green Bay. The Packers seem to prefer moving forward with Jordan Love as their starting quarterback, which opens the door for a few different teams to pursue one of the best quarterbacks of all-time via a trade.

Over the past couple of weeks, the two teams most connected to a potential Rodgers trade are the New York Jets and Las Vegas Raiders. However, there are some other teams to keep an eye on as well.

Another AFC Team Is A Threat To Trade For Aaron Rodgers

One specific team to watch is the Tennessee Titans, who were connected to Rodgers last offseason as well. The Titans could be looking to make an upgrade at the quarterback position over Ryan Tannehill. Rodgers would certainly give them a chance to get back into Super Bowl contention.

In a recent article from The Athletic, two NFL executives both agreed that the Titans would be a good fit for Rodgers.

“Tennessee is a great spot for him,” the first exec said. “I could totally see that,” the second exec said.

Looking at the Titans, it would make sense for both Aaron Rodgers and the team. Derrick Henry is still arguably the best running back in the NFL and Treylon Burks has true No. 1 wide receiver talent. They would need to make more moves around Rodgers, but they certainly have the pieces in place to swing big for a new quarterback.

During the 2022 season with the Packers, Aaron Rodgers proved that he still has a lot of good football left in the tank. He completed 64.6 percent of his pass attempts for 3,695 yards, 26 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. Those numbers came with a broken thumb for most of the season and with the loss of superstar wide receiver Davante Adams last offseason.

What would it take for the Titans to be able to acquire Rodgers? They would need to include a first-round pick and possibly a future first-round pick as well. Adding a second or third-rounder in could be needed as well.

Aaron Rodgers is going to look strange wearing a jersey other than a Packers’ jersey. It seems wrong that he would finish his career somewhere other than Green Bay. But, that is the business of the NFL and it’s seeming more and more likely to happen this offseason.

Expect to continue hearing rumors about Rogers and a potential trade. The Titans are not being talked about a lot right now, but they could end up becoming a real threat in trade talks.
