The New York Jets finally decided to keep Zach Wilson on the bench following their loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. The Jets will ask a former Green Bay Packers quarterback to make his first NFL start since the 2021 season when he was a member of the Detroit Lions.
Jets head coach Robert Saleh benched Wilson after a terrible start against the Bills. Former Packers quarterback Tim Boyle came in the game for Wilson. Unfortunately for Boyle, he didn’t play much better than Wilson. Boyle finished 7/14 for 33 yards and one interception.
But the Jets are fed up with Wilson.
The New York Jets ask Tim Boyle to start in Week 12
According to Ian Rapoport with the NFL Network, the Jets are turning to Boyle to start against the Miami Dolphins.
The #Jets stood by Zach Wilson as long as they could. But after Sunday, they couldn't any longer. Now, it's on Tim Boyle to hold it down until Aaron Rodgers returns. https://t.co/2moLGLL6eE

Can Boyle hold on to give Aaron Rodgers a chance to return?
The Jets will ask Boyle to keep the Jets playoff hopes afloat until Aaron Rodgers can return. The Jets are hopeful Rodgers can return by their Dec. 24th game against the Washington Commanders.
But for Rodgers to have a chance, Boyle will have to play better this next month than he did against the Bills.
