The Milwaukee Bucks will have the decision to make as to whether or not they should keep all five free agents for next season. Milwaukee will look to get younger and improve its roster after flaming out in the first round of the NBA playoffs for the past two seasons.

The goal will be for general manager Jon Horst to build this team around Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard. Khris Middleton, Brook Lopez, Pat Connaughton, and Bobby Portis Jr. could also be on the trade block this summer for the Milwaukee Bucks.
They will also have some other free agents who were not on the team last season. Milwaukee is not going to have a quiet offseason by any means.
Milwaukee Bucks Free Agent Malik Beasley Being Eyed By the Houston Rockets

The Houston Rockets last season were one of the most improved teams in the NBA in 2023-2024. Despite not making the NBA Playoffs, they finished with a 41-41 record and finished 11th in the Western Conference. They hope they can make it to the NBA playoffs next season with adjustments to the roster. Houston is looking to be a title contender soon under head coach Ime Udoka, who just took the Boston Celtics to the NBA Finals two seasons ago.

Beasley is 27 years old. With the Milwaukee Bucks last season, he averaged 11.3 PPG, 3.7 RPG, 1.4 APG, 0.1 BPG, and 0.7 SPG. Malik Beasley shot 44.3% from the field and also shot 41.3% from three-point land in 79 games.
According to Kelly Iko of The Athletic:
“Houston has identified floor spacing and shooting as an area of need this offseason privately and publicly and have an interest in veteran sharpshooter Beasley, league sources said.”
The Houston Rockets also own the third overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. It will be interesting to see what Houston does with that selection. The Rockets have young talent on this roster and they are looking to add a veteran into the room.
Malik Beasley was very inconsistent last season for the Milwaukee Bucks. He was one of the five starters for most of the season, but they could easily replace Beasley and find a better option. It would be a smart move for both parties to move on because the Rockets will probably give him a contract he can’t refuse. Milwaukee is paying Khris Middleton, Damian Lillard, and Giannis Antetokounmpo to hefty contracts.
