The Green Bay Packers made a push for Panthers’ wide receiver D.J. Moore but were turned down
The 2022 NFL trade deadline was a loss for the Green Bay Packers. With a clear need at wide receiver to help Green Bay’s offense, general manager Brian Gutekunst had his eyes on a few targets. The Packers were in on Chase Claypool before the Bears landed him and they were also in on Darren Waller. But a report on Sunday suggested that they pushed hard for Carolina Panthers receiver D.J. Moore.
Per Jay Glazer, the Packers offered a first-round pick for wide receiver D.J. Moore ahead of the deadline.

The Panthers wanted no part of moving D.J. Moore if they turned down a first-round pick. They cleary see him as part of their future moving forward and it’s a shame for Green Bay.
With the trade deadline passed, this Packers team is what it is and the hope is that maybe they can land Odell Beckham Jr.
But if things continue like this, it will be a very interesting offseason in Green Bay with a lot of questions to answer. And that includes what could happen at quarterback with Aaron Rodgers and his future.

Why would OBJ consider Green Bay at this point? He’s gonna sign somewhere where he has a chance to win.
