The New York Jets have been at the center of wide receiver talk all off-season. Their need for a wide receiver is just as glaring as Green Bay‘s, if not more. The New York Jets have been pursuing AJ Brown reportedly, We’re all in on the Tyreek Hill sweepstakes, and if Davante Adams wasn’t sold on Las Vegas, the Jets would have been in on that one too. With Deebo Samuel possibly on the trade block, it sounds like the Jets are preparing a massive deal for him:
Jets offered 10th, 35th, 99th, 2023 2nd and Elijah Moore…49ers waiting
— Vincent Frank (@VincentFrankNFL) April 27, 2022
Vincent Frank is a managing editor at Sportsnaut. However multiple people have disputed Frank’s report. First of all the Jets do not have the 99th overall pick, they have the 69th overall pick. Secondly, Matt Lombardo, and NFL reporter reported that the Jets currently do not have a Trade package in the works:
I’m told per multiple league sources there is “zero” truth to the #Jets offering any sort of package that included No. 10, No. 35, Elijah Moore, etc. to the #49ers for Deebo Samuel. #NFL

While these two reports directly contradict each other, there is plenty of rumors behind the Jets being the front runners for Deebo Samuel:
Jets could land Deebo if 49ers trade him, per @JFowlerESPN 😳 pic.twitter.com/Cyofj3pD6q

Deebo Samuel to the Jets? pic.twitter.com/RSrQbPly2S

The Jets are considered "front-runners" to potentially land WR Deebo Samuel 😮

Even if Vincent franks report was off a bit, it would not be surprising if the real trade package was similar. The 49ers are looking to get a haul for Deebo, and the Jets seem to be willing to go all in for a number one wide receiver. Either way you can cross out Green Bay from getting Deebo Samuel, they will never offer that much for one player (which is the right call).
