Will Anderson Jr. in Mock Drafts
According to NFL Mock Draft Database, Anderson Jr. is a consensus top 5 pick. Many view him as the best player in the draft that is not a quarterback. This is a player that could become the bedrock of a defense for years to come. His versatility makes him a prospect any team would want. Below is a list of mock drafts and where they have Anderson Jr. being drafted.
- SB Nation – No. 1 overall: Bears
- USA Today – No. 1 overall: Bears
- Sportskeeda – No. 3 overall: Cardinals
- The Draft Network – No. 3 overall: Cardinals
- Touchdown Wire – No. 5 overall: Seahawks
Would Will Anderson Jr. Fit on the Packers?
Similar to Bryce Young, we have to look at Anderson Jr.’s fit with the Packers in a vacuum. The Packers desperately need some edge depth and Anderson Jr. would be an amazing pick-up. However, the Packers do not pick until no. 15 and it would be shocking if Anderson Jr. fell out of the top 5. The coverage ability is what would intrigue me the most about him as the Packers could use someone to cover tight ends and running backs.
Check Out Another Prospect That Could Fit For the Packers
Will the Packers ever do a huge trade-up? It is unlikely. The Packers and GM Brian Gutekunst have proven they can find value in the later rounds. Unless they see a player as an all-time great (something that is very hard in the draft) I doubt the Packers will ever be aggressive in trading up.
