Sean Tucker Scouting Report
Per NFL Draft Buzz, Tucker has the following strengths and weaknesses:
Strengths
- Tucker finishes runs well and flashes the ability to get small and squeeze through traffic
- He’s a quality receiver with soft hands, and Tucker shows a good feel for catching and transitioning upfield in the screen game
- Possesses quick feet and straight-line speed but doesn’t have the elite burst to be a constant big-play threat. Improving patience as a runner, following pulling guards and makes good decisions on his cut
Weaknesses
- Tucker has a slight build, especially for a running back, and Tucker isn’t going to grind out yardage between the tackles, as he lacks power and runs with a fairly high pad level
- Too indecisive and hesitant at the line of scrimmage

Sean Tucker in Mock Drafts
According to NFL Mock Draft Database, Tucker is a projected third-round pick. Running back is always a tricky position to predict but any time someone with talent in the open field is available, some team will usually take a chance. Below is a list of mock drafts and where they have Tucker being drafted.
- Buffalow Down – Second round: Bills
- 12th Man Rising – Third round: Seahawks
- NFL Mocks – Fourth round: Cardinals
Would Sean Tucker Fit on the Packers?
I like Tucker as a fit for the Packers albeit in a very specific role. Tucker works best in space. The Matt LaFleur offense does well at getting players into space. While I don’t see him as a feature back, he could work well in the right situations.
Check Out Another Prospect That Could Fit For the Packers
The issue is I don’t think the Packers will spend a premium pick on a player that can play sometimes. There is a lot of talent out there and the Packers can find better talent that can play every down at a position of need. Tucker is a nice prospect but I doubt the Packers will spend the pick to get him.
