Justin Dedich: Offensive Guard, USC: NFL Draft Scouting Profile and Projected Draft Position
Justin Dedich USC Stats
In his five years at USC, Dedich has given up no sacks. He has done so at a variety of positions. He has played left guard, right guard, and center.
Justin Dedich Scouting Report
Per NFL Draft Buzz, Dedich has the following strengths and weaknesses:
Strengths
- Dedich gets off the snap quickly, and Dedich is consistently able to generate movement at the point of attack, typically finishing those blocks strong
- Displays good awareness when it comes to reading moving bodies, effectively reacting and adjusting. He also shows a good feel for combo blocks
- Exhibits good patience in pass protection, sitting back in his set rather than leaning and lunging
Weaknesses
- His physical gifts were enough to get by against collegiate opponents, but Dedich had trouble with bull rushers when facing quality competition, which is potentially a problem in the NFL
- Very raw technique, playing with inconsistent hand placement fails to sustain blocks

Would Justin Dedich Fit on the Packers?
If the Packers are looking to build some offensive line depth, Dedich could be a fit. However, I think there are a lot of better linemen out there. The Packers seem to be set at the guard and center position. While they could use some tackle depth, I don’t see them going for a player like Dedich.
