The Green Bay Packers are desperate for consistency at the wide receiver position in the worst way. A trade may be In the works with injuries and inconsistencies piling up for the Packers. The Packers may be re-engaging in trade talks with a wide receiver they tried to trade for once before. The Houston Texans are listening to offers on star wide receiver Brandin Cooks, and the Packers are one of the teams calling.
Could Brandin Cooks Finally Come To Green Bay?

According to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 in Houston, the Packers are among several teams to inquire with the Houston Texans about a trade for veteran wide receiver Brandin Cooks. So far in 2022, Cooks has 28 catches for 281 yards and one touchdown on 47 targets. Brandin Cooks has had over 1,000 receiving yards in six of his last seven seasons. The most recent two were with Houston. He has been a model of consistency for over half a decade.
According to Texans Daily, Houston was seeking at least a second-round draft pick for Brandin Cooks back in April. If that is still the case I would expect Green Bay to pass. I don’t see them giving up a first or second-round pick for a WR. Especially after drafting three in the 2022 NFL draft. However, if Green Bay could get away with offering a third as well as a late-round pick, they may be interested. That being said, Cooks is an asset many teams will be interested in trading for. The Packers can’t come in with a cheap offer or they will be easily overlooked. At 1-4-1 six weeks into the season, the Texans may be sellers at the trade deadline. I wouldn’t be surprised if Green Bay kept calling.
