Jordan Love is one of the biggest mysteries in the NFL. He will have a lot of eyes on him as he will officially be the starting quarterback for the Packers this season.
There has not been a lot of film or game experience to see how he will turn out. It is just a wait-and-see when it comes to Jordan Love. However, the Packers have definitely set up Jordan Love for success this season.
Packers QB Jordan Love Is Set Up for a Huge 2023 NFL Season
Young, Talented Playmakers Surrounding Him
Jordan Love does have the weapons at wide receiver to help him grow as quarterback this season. It all begins with Christian Watson, who led all rookies last year in touchdown catches and would have won Offensive Rookie of the Year if he stayed healthy. He also had Romeo Doubs, who was having a solid rookie year before suffering an ankle injury.
Then there is Samori Toure who looks to take that second-year jump. In addition, there is a new weapon in the slot with rookie Jayden Reed. Dontayvious Wicks, Grant DuBose, Bo Melton, and Malik Heath will also be in the mix. Love has been working with most of these receivers during the offseason and even last year when he was the backup.
Jordan Love Will Be Protected
It is very important to always make sure to keep the franchise quarterback upright and protected. The Packers have always made sure to put the best offensive lines on the football field. In fact, despite injuries and different combinations, they still were ranked top-10 overall as a unit.
Also, the Packers will have David Bakhtiari and Elgton Jenkins back at full strength. In addition, the Packers, for the first time in years, did not take a single offensive lineman in the draft this year, showing confidence in this group. It will definitely help Jordan Love to have a solid group up front to protect him.
Mentored By Some of the Best
In his three years as a backup, Jordan Love has had a lot of help in his development. He has been coached up by Matt LaFleur and has been in the same system for three years, knowing the ins and outs of the scheme. Love sat behind Aaron Rodgers for three years, learning how to be a good quarterback. Rodgers himself mentored him as he did not want Jordan to go through what he did with Brett Favre. Then there is quarterbacks coach Tom Clements, who helped improve Love’s mechanics, just like he did with Rodgers. With all the development Love has had in his three years as a backup, it should help him have a very solid season in his first year as the starting quarterback.
Has Two Veteran Running Backs To Lean On
Jordan Love will have one of the best running back duos in the NFL with Aaron Jones and AJ Dillion. The run game will be depended on early to take the pressure off of him. Jones and Dillion are one of the few veterans on offense. Aaron Jones has even helped make protection calls on the field, which is really good for Jordan Love. The one-two punch of Aaron Jones and AJ Dillion will be very helpful for Jordan Love this year on offense.
