The Packers elevated a good luck charm in Week 10
The Green Bay Packers are looking to snap their five-game losing streak on Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys. A win against the Cowboys would spoil former Packers head coach Mike McCarthy’s homecoming and give the team some confidence for the rest of the season. On Saturday, the Packers announced they elevated a player who had previously brought good luck to the team.
According to Marques Eversoll with The Fan 107.5, the Packers elevated kicker Ramiz Ahmad, a player the team is undefeated with on the active roster.
Interesting. #Packers elevated kicker Ramiz Ahmed from the P-Squad for the game tomorrow.
They are, in fact, #undefeated when Ramiz Ahmed is #active on game day.

The Packers have been looking at the kicker position this week
The move by the Packers was foreshadowed earlier in the week. The Packers worked out two kickers earlier in the week. Neither was signed to the practice squad.
According to Bill Huber with Sports Illustrated, the Packers made the move to elevate Ahmed as kicker Mason Crosby is battling a sore back:
Why? Reliable veteran Mason Crosby was limited at practice all week with a sore back. While he will play, Ahmed will handle kickoffs, a source told Packer Central on Saturday morning.
The Packers will hope the tandem will be productive this week. It’s an odd choice for the Packers to use three active roster spots for kickers. The Packers, for sure, need help at wide receiver.
