The Packers lost Lucas Patrick and Elgton Jenkins will miss the start of the season while he recovers from ACL surgery. They have their starters locked down but could seriously use some depth on the inside of their offensive line this season.

Round 1 Zion Johnson Boston College 6’2 312 RAS 9.74

Strengths: Really strong, powerful offensive lineman. Has positional flexibility and can play any 3 inside line positions. Holds up well against bull rush and power moves. Does an incredible job of helping on duo blocks before moving to second-level defenders.

Weaknesses: Athleticism doesn’t always match tape. Can be slow when reacting to blitzes and stunts. His hand placement isn’t consistent.

    Round 2-3 Kenyon Green Texas A&M 6’3” 323 pounds RAS 5.97

Strengths: has incredible power and wins with strength on the inside. Can be a dominant run blocker inside. Has a solid anchor to defend and hold ground against bull rushes and power moves. Versatile enough to play all 5 positions.

Weaknesses: side to side movement is lacking. Can be pushed off base if he starts moving horizontally. Does not reach second-level blocks with the sort of power that you would like to see. Needs to develop secondary movements, if his initial block doesn’t work needs to be able to counter.

    Round 2-3 Dylan Parham Memphis 6’2” 311 RAS 8.8

Strengths: solid mover who can play multiple positions. Elite ability to reach blocks and has loose hips to flip when needed. Understands leverage and how to use it. Athleticism shows up on tape.

Weaknesses: Does not have a finisher mentality when run blocking. Needs to add strength to hold up at the next level. Does not consistently anchor and can be pushed back into a backfield.

Round 4-7 Thayer Munford Ohio State 6’5” 328 RAS 6.73

Strengths: Large lineman with exceptional length. Uses length to his advantage getting on defenders early and not letting them into him. In the run game, he has plenty of power to move defenders. Has experience at multiple spots on the offensive line.

Weaknesses: Hand placement will be an issue at the next level. Needs to work on footwork, feet are all over the place on tape. Has played multiple positions on the line he hasn’t played them well.

Round 4-7 Alec Lindstrom Boston College 6’3” 296 RAS 8.36

Strengths: Good initial hand placement and power. If he gets on a defender first he can handle them. Handles the run game well. Called out fronts and protections in college.

Weaknesses: will need to put on size at the next level. Struggles to keep the defensive lineman away from him. Has a tendency to get too high when coming off the ball leading to leverage issues.

    Round 4-7 Blaise Andries Minnesota 6’6” 311 RAS 9.81

Strengths: Has experience at both tackle and guard. Has solid strength to hold up against bull rushes and power moves. Does a good job of getting to second-level blocks.

Weaknesses: gets too high coming off the ball leading to leverage issues. Lacks finishing strength in his lower half. Gets confused on twists and blitzes too often, slow to realize and react.
