Will the Packers land D.J. Moore? it’s not likely per a new report on Friday
The Green Bay Packers need some help on offense as Aaron Rodgers and the unit have struggled the past few weeks.
But that help probably won’t come in the form of Carolina Panthers receiver D.J. Moore. Despite Packers fans getting excited about the potential of Moore landing in Green Bay, a new report suggests the Panthers likely won’t trade him.
NFL reporter Jeremy Fowler tweeted out that the Panthers have received calls for Moore but he’s considered a ‘foundational piece’ to the roster. That means it would take a big offer to pry him away.
The #Panthers also have received multiple trade calls on their other top playmaker, wide receiver D.J. Moore, per sources, but the team has considered Moore a foundational piece to the roster. That would make a trade tough to execute.

The Panthers are in complete rebuild mode as suggested by the recent Christian McCaffrey trade on Thursday night. But trading away a 25-year-old receiver may not be in their plans.
Moore has proven he can be a legit receiver in the league and the Panthers don’t want to completely cut the roster. They will be the worst, if not among the worst, teams in the league this year. That means they will likely be in the top 5 in the draft as they hope to land a big quarterback.
Keeping Moore as a target for their new quarterback makes more sense. But again, a big trade package of picks could change things..
