The NFL Combine is in full swing. This event is a great opportunity for the players to get their names out there and show what they’ve got. While the workout portion is important, the interviews also carry a lot of weight. Former Badger Nick Herbig had a great quote comparing himself to a stick of dynamite at the combine today.
#Badgers pass rusher Nick Herbig on his size: “Dynamite comes in small packages.” Everyone points out my size but I played in the Big Ten, and played against the best of the best. #NFLCombine pic.twitter.com/z2GoKVaeLh

Nick Herbig At The NFL Combine
The big knock on Herbig has been his size. However, he does not think that is an issue. “Dynamite comes in small packages,” he said in his interview. He went on to say that he played against the best of the best in the Big Ten and held up just fine. The Big Ten is known for its huge players, especially on the offensive and defensive lines. Herbig was the clear leader of the defense and did not have any trouble standing out during his time in Madison. Now he just has to convince NFL scouts.

Where Will Herbig Go In The Draft?
According to NFL Mock Draft Database, Herbig is a projected third-round pick. However, the mock drafts have him going anywhere from the third round to the sixth round. Ultimately, it seems like he will be drafted, the question is simply in what round. If he does slide to the later rounds, teams may find themselves with a steal of a pick. There always is the day 3 pick that makes an impact right away and Herbig has the potential to be that player.
Nick Herbig is clearly confident in himself at the NFL Combine. It will be interesting to see where he ultimately goes when the NFL draft comes in April.
