1. Kansas City Chiefs
Mahomes and the Chiefs proved they could win the Super Bowl last season without the firepower of an elite wide receiver like Tyreek Hill. The Chiefs lost their top wideouts in, JuJu Smith-Schuster and Mecole Hardman, this offseason. The Chiefs’ current projected wide receivers are Skyy Moore, Kadarius Toney, and Marquez Valdes-Scantling. They will also have tight end Travis Kelce returning in 2023.
Does Mahomes need an elite playmaker like DeAndre Hopkins to win a Super Bowl? No, but why not make life a little easier on head coach Andy Reid and the offense if they can? Mahomes to Hopkins would be one of the most dangerous combinations this fall. With the Philadelphia Eagles having a solid offseason, Hardman could help the Chiefs stay above the NFC powerhouse by three points or more if they meet in next year’s Super Bowl.
