NFL: The Green Bay Packers have had a significant amount of turnover this off-season. Headlined by their franchise-altering Aaron Rodgers trade, the Packers’ offense will look completely different in 2023 and beyond. Many former players signed elsewhere this off-season. That included TE Robert Tonyan, WR Allen Lazard, WR Randall Cobb. TE Marcedes Lewis also appears to be moving on from the Packers, however, he has yet to sign with a new team. As it turns out, there is one more former starter who found a new home this off-season.
Philadelphia Eagles Sign Former Green Bay Packers Starting Tackle Dennis Kelly (NFL)
The Philadelphia Eagles have added some true, quality depth to their offensive line, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, signing veteran free-agent tackle Dennis Kelly. After seven seasons between the Tennessee Titans, Green Bay Packers and Indianapolis Colts, Kelly returns to the team that drafted him 11 years ago.
Kelly signed with the Packers on July 29, 2021. He played in 10 games during the 2021 regular season, starting the last four in place of injured starting right tackle Billy Turner. The Packers finished with a 13–4 record and the number 1 seed in the NFC. Kelly started at right tackle during the Packers’ divisional round playoff loss against the San Francisco 49ers while Turner, who had returned from injury played left tackle in place of injured starter David Bakhtiari.
Dennis Kelly has played in 130 NFL games, starting 54 of them. He provides an immediate and competent back up for the Eagles’ dominant offensive line.
